Is God okay with me hurting?

writeonladyd

When a hurtful even takes precedence in life, often times it appears effortless to either curse God, find fault in his ability or internalize the hurt as a punishment for a past sin.

In the word of God there are countless scriptures and spiritual examples that speak of Gods will for His creation. The word speaks hope to the hurt that we will experience on this life's journey. It has to be understood that hurt is not to destruct, damage, or bring one in to their demise. Hurt is experienced to increase spiritual, emotional, and physical strength. If the hurtful experience is perceived through the eyes of faith, the experience should bring forth an improved version of what one used to be. An example of this truth is found in Job 23:10 But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold. -NIV

While n the fire it can be hard to fathom that God loves or even cares but Jeremiah 29:11 is a reminder of a promise for God to His children. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. -NIV

In the dark and barren places tears may fall and emotions may rage- don't deny the feelings-and don't allow the feelings to consume your very being.

For we do not have a hight priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are-yet was without sin. Hebrews 4:15 -NIV Surrender the aches and paints to the God who knows and loves best. Trust, lean and depend on God to bring you out all right. I Peter 5:10 states And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. -NIV

The Lord loves his children and is concerned about His creation. God does not find pleasure in the discomfort of His children. In all their distress he too was distressed, and the angel of his presence saved them. In this love and mercy he redeemed them; he lifted them up and carried them all the day of old. Isaiah 63:9 -NIV As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust. Psalm 103: 13-14

It is not the will of the Lord for His children to hurt. When we hurt-God hurts too!
