I've learned that our eyes are a tricky thing! They capture moments and with our mind a narrative on what is "really going on" is created. This activity happens daily and more so with social media.
Daily, our eyes are captivated by someone's life through a still moment and feel we have full disclosure of how their life really is. Such false truths to create these narratives on.
There are times when I scroll through my own page and think, WOW, life has ALWAYS been good to me! Then I think of the moments that fill the gaps. I remember the sleepless nights, the tears that fell for days, being lied on, the loss of a job, a disagreement (putting it nicely) with others, and so on.
Yet and still, it is so easy to get caught up trying to rationalize someone else world based off their life's highlights. Its imperative that we grow into a space in which we are confident in who we are and the life we are privileged to live.
We may not have met all of our goals or put a check next to everything on our list but we are special, valuable, and needed.
STOP measuring yourself up to someone or something you were not created to be!
GOD created us to be enough and with the tools needed to fulfill the purpose he created us for. Look within and focus on your own beauty!Focus on the success God created YOU to be!
